Adding the door to the front

- [Voiceover] In this chapter we are going to finish everything related to modeling and fixing that includes adding a door and fixing the top portion of the door. Adding an opening to these windows and this balcony portion over here and working a bit on the frames for the windows, particularly these two frames. And also I will be adding some vegetation so we will have an overview on how to quickly create some vegetation, stylized vegetation, in particular. To start with, I'm going to fix the door arch and add a door. So for that I will select the arch, and hit Alt Q to solo this out. Go to vertex mode. Now I see that it has a bit of an angle so I will select all these vertices and just make them planner on y axis so it get straight and just bring that down because when I isolate it, I have to match it with the background that the wall with the background so it actually matches with that. And I will solo that out again and for the top arch part, I'm going to press F4 so that I can see the edges as well. I will select theses vertices move that to aside and then these vertices and move them to aside. Center vertices only these and slightly moving that upward and now I will select all these vertices in this regions and slightly bring that down. So I have now kind of more smoother transitions over here. Now I'm going to unsolo everything out. Select this part, press one to go to vertex mode. Select these vertices move them down and select this part press one select these vertices and move them down as well. With that being fix, now I will make opening for the door for that I will select this wall which is composed of many planks and several modifiers so I will right click and hit collapse two to collapse my modifier stack. And then in my front view port, I will go to element mode while this being selected and choose all the planks up to this height and hit detach and it's been named object 026 which is perfectly fine for the time. I will exit the element mode select this newly created object and hold alt Q to solo this out. Now with this being selected I will press control V to make a copy. Remember if its instance by default, you need to change that to copy and hit OK. So now I have 027 being selected, I'm going to throw a slice plane over this and I will activate this slice plane. Press E and just keeping an eye on my y axis here. I just need to rotate that about ninety degrees and just moving it to aside a bit and hit remove top all remove bottom in this case because I have another plane as well. So we'll just quit it and select the other plane and then throw a slice modifier, activate that and rotate that about ninety degrees here and press W and slightly move that to aside and if I remove bottom I have this opening over here. I will unhide everything out and we have a nice opening for the door. So once we have that I should move this plane bit to the right so I have a bit of more opening and I will again select this portion and hit attach and click this part here and then clicking this part here so I will again making this just one object and it looks fine. I will unhide everything again; for the door I have gone ahead and exactly made copy of these planks that I created earlier for the top portion and then just made slight changes and lined them up straight. Now in the previous one we have split that into every almost every row but for the door I just kept one plank and slightly modified and moved around the vertices just like we did for the other objects and then created another plank in fact just copied another plank from here and put that here. Now other change that I made here was that I actually nattered them down because in my reference image I see that the door uses kind of small planks which has less width in comparison to these. So I just kind of scale them down in on x axis. And now I'm going to move that door up here and try to fit that into that portion. Now we are going really good with this one and this portion is being done. Next I'm going to show you a new trick how we can create opening for this one rather than using the slice tool we can pretty quickly create an opening over here using new technique and that I'm going to show you in the next video.
