- [Instructor] Sometimes in a model, it's necessary to increase the resolution of the model. Versus just decreasing or optimizing. Typically, we'll focus on optimization. For example, taking those Barcelona chairs and reducing the polys that are in a lot of the small details because we're never going to get close enough to see any fewer polys in that object. Sometimes though we do need some extra polys. And I'll take a look at this Apollo wall and the cruciform columns as examples. I'll isolate one piece of this wall. We can see here that this is 261 polys. Not really that bad, and 346 tris. However, it really should be a little bit smoother. And this is where we could use a few extra edge loops. I'll take a look at the original in some reference just to make sure I'm on the right track. I'm back here on the Modular Arts site. And there's our Apollo. And we can see here that each of these rounded rectangles, or whatever we want to call them, is really nice and round on the sides. The…
