- I will now create lights into my scene. For that, I will go into my Create Panel. In my lights rollout, I will choose the Target Direct under the Standard category and go to my top View Port and create a light. I will go to the left View Port and move the light upward. Now, double-click in the middle to choose both sides of the light and just move that kind of upward there. I will go to my Perspective View Port and have a look at my reference image. I see that the light is falling from this direction and I do kind of like the lighting direction. I see that the shadows are formed here. So, it's not exactly from the front but somewhere to the right side of the building, as well. I see a bit of a shadow here. Now, to see my shadow effect, one way is that I start rendering my scene. But we haven't set up the VRay yet. So, one quick fix is that I right-click here and choose the mode Realistic and then it is going to give me the direction of the shadows, as well.
