- [Instructor] In the previous movie we multiplied the photometric intensity of our lights so that the image is correctly exposed. Now let's explore the shape and color of the photometric light. Select either one of those lights, go back over to the modify panel and we'll see a rollout labeled shape/area shadows. The default type of light is point and in the view port it looks like the light has some volume, it's being displayed as if it were a sphere. But in reality, it's an infinitesimally small point light source, a point has a size of zero and we get these perfectly hard shadows in the view port as a result. So let's change this, right click in the perspective view to give it focus without losing the current selection. And then in the shape/area shadows rollout, switch the shape over to sphere.
