- [Instructor] In the previous movie, we changed up the exposure controls so that the Arnold rendering was exposed correctly. But unfortunately, as you can see, the Viewport rendering is no longer exposed right. So the only thing we can do here really is just turn the lighting off. We can go back up to the Viewport Labels and switch it over from User Defined to Standard. And just do all of our tests in Arnold with ActiveShade. We'll go back to ActiveShade using Arnold. Wait for that to update. Once it does, then let's select one of these lights. Go back over to the Modify panel. And play around with some of the parameters here. The default type of light is a point light. And if we scroll down, we'll find a section labeled Shape/Area Shadows. And this is where we determine the shape of the light. Even though it looks like it has some volume here, it looks like a sphere, it's actually a perfect point light source. And we get these perfectly hard shadows as a result. We can change the…
