Advanced viewport settings and presets
- [Instructor] The quality of lighting and materials in viewport is controlled through the viewport menus up here in the upper left. You'll want to be in default shading mode to get most advantage of these controls. You don't want to be in any of these stylized modes, such as graphite. You'll need to be in default shading. So I'll switch this back over to default. When you're in default shading mode, you can access the shading menu, which is currently labeled standard. And within there, you can change up some of the options. The first thing we want to do is enable textures in the viewports. That can be done on a per material basis within the material editor. Or we can enable textures for all seen materials from the viewport shading menu. Click on that viewport shading menu. Go into the section labeled materials, and here we can choose to display maps or textures, and we can also control the materials shading mode.…
