- [Instructor] Although Photoshop will always be used in your final output process, usually, compositing your imagery in After Effects has several distinct advantages, including being able to output to a final image. Camera animation, 3D composites, and a more robust way to add effects to your renders are some of those advantages. Because I'm an animator as well, I use After Effects pretty much for everything I do, and only use Photoshop when I need, you know, just something that's specific for a specific client. So let's take a look at this process of using After Effects. I highly encourage you to learn how to use After Effects. As a design visualization artist, you're going to be asked to animate things as well, and you can use still images for that. Let's go ahead and go to File, and we'll Import, and we'll import a file here. And we're going to go to our desktop, exercise files, chapter five, and we're going to grab those chapter five layers; so go ahead and select both of those…
