- [Instructor] As we saw last week the updated chamfer modifier gives us new options for chopping and rounding corners. But the chamfer modifier alone will effect all selected edges the same way. They'll all share the same parameter values, meaning that we wouldn't be able have different chamfer effects on different parts of the model. But we can accomplish that. We can vary the effect of the chamfer amount in depth using the data channels built into editable poly-objects. That'll allow us to apply different parametric values to different parts of the model and get different results on different parts of the model. I'm going to use an edit poly modifier to make a sub-object selection to pass up to the chamfer modifier. And we could use the editable poly sub-object selection to do that as we did in previous movie. So if I select the object, go to the modify panel.
