Arnold render settings and materials

- [Instructor] In the previous movie we applied the Arnold Physical Sky to render exterior daylight. And if you recall, in that movie we saw that the Arnold rendering was not getting quite as much bounce light as the ART rendering did. Specifically, they weren't really seeing light reflecting off of this reservoir, or body of water, in the Arnold rendering. And we're going to address that issue now. So that phenomenon is known as a specular caustic in which a very shiny, reflective object reflects light back onto nearby diffuse surfaces. First, let's get a baseline rendering without the specular caustics so that we have something to compare. Do an ActiveShade render, and once that's finished go ahead and make a duplicate of that by clicking on Clone Rendered Frame Window. So here's what it looks like without any specular caustics and we've got a wall here next to the reservoir and it should be getting some light from the reflection off the water, but we're not getting any here.
