The Bitmap2Material application

- [Instructor] Another way to use substance is to convert bitmaps to materials and we can do that using the bitmap to material application. I'm going to go ahead and open that up. Now, there are number of ways to use bitmap to material. This is the standalone application. You can also use it within 3ds Max and I will show you that in just a second, but I want to show you the full application simply because it's a great way to understand how bitmap to material works. This is probably the most interactive way to use it. When you start up bitmap to material, you should get something that looks similar to this. It's basically an empty slot into which you can drop a bitmap. I'm going to go into my exercise files, 3dsMax, sceneassets, images folder and we should see something called SteelTrowelStucco_1024.
