Checking families for smooth rendering
- [Instructor] Almost everything in Revit is a family of some kind. A family is an external file, really. It's a particular product, maybe a door or a window, or even a custom family, such as my modularArts® Rock (Block)-inspired Apollo wall. This is one of my favorites. I really like the way it provides this very tactical, ever-changing screen that we can see through but is an obvious barrier between spaces. Also, it fits nicely in the motif of this classic 1950s modern building. I've also got some custom families on the outside, my round cruciform columns, and I'll take a look at them. Round objects are often problematic in a render, and we'll delve in a little bit as to why. I'll double-click on my 3D views on the entry, and we can see here my entry stairs with my round cruciform columns.
