- [Instructor] The very first time you launch 3ds Max, you may see this beautiful splash screen, which says, "Heads up! "The 3ds Max defaults settings have changed!" Well, of course, if you're new to 3ds Max, then a change in the default is not really relevant to you. If you want to learn more, you can click on this button. I'm just going to skip this and click Continue. After clicking that button, you may have to wait quite a long time before 3ds Max actually appears on your screen, because the first time you launch 3ds Max, it has to create a bunch of user profile folders behind the scenes and so on. But eventually, it will launch, and you'll see this welcome screen, and it just gives you some information about the interface. We can close the welcome screen by clicking on the X in the upper right corner. If you ever need to get that welcome screen back again, you can do that from the Help menu.
