Cloning an object as an instance
- [Instructor] An instance is a copy of an object that shares all that objects perimeters. And it's almost like having something be in more than one place at one time. We'll use that to create multiple copies of the propeller and still preserve the modifier stack which will be shared among all of the objects. Let's start be renaming the propeller, select it, and in the create or modify panel in it's name field, let's just rename it propeller 01 and press enter. Let's now position it where we need it to be, grab the move tool, and plug in some values down here at the bottom of the screen, we have the transform type in area. Lets give it an X position of 10 centimeters. Press tab, give it a Y position of 10 centimeters. Press enter, we want to move it up off the ground plane as a tumble around with alt and middle mouse we can see that it's sitting right on the ground plane. Let's move it up by setting the Z axis value to 3…
