- [Instructor] The tools on the selection ribbon helped to automate complex sub objects selections in an editable Poly. I've got a ceramic planter here. I'll orbit around with Alt + middle mouse button just to show you that there's no bottom or inside to this piece of pottery. That was just to keep the polygon countdown. To access the selection ribbon we'll need to be in modify mode. One way to do that is to just activate the modify panel and select an editable poly object. Now we're in modify mode and we can open up the ribbon as well. Click on its button on the main toolbar. Since this is an editable Poly we can go over to this selection tab in the ribbon and enter a sub object mode and then we'll see some tools appear on this ribbon. And this is one case in which we do actually want to have the modified panel open at the same time as the ribbon so that we can have access to the sub object type selections without…
