- The layout of four viewport panels on the screen is a pretty standard one in 3D. But if you want to, you can customize 3ds Max to display the panels in a different pattern. Maybe you want one large panel for the perspective view and three smaller panels for the orthographic views. You can do that quite easily. There is a tool bar for that which is called the viewport layout tabs toolbar. And earlier in the course I hid that tool bar to reduce visual clutter. So let's unhide it now, to unhide a toolbar right click on the textured bar at the top or side of any toolbar, including the command panel. Right-click on that textured bar and from the list choose view board layout tabs to unhide that toolbar. And it appears on the left side of the screen. It's got one preset in it. It's the quad four or four viewport layout that we see currently. To create a new layout, you want to click on this triangle. It's supposed to…
