Control relief and gloss

- [Instructor] We now have the basic color of our material but we still need to work on things such as glossiness and relief. So let's go ahead and start off with the glossiness. Now actually instead of glossiness, we're actually going to be playing with roughness which is the inverse of glossiness and just to show you how this works, I'm going to right click and we're going to add a uniform color node. And I'm going to select the node and turn it to grayscale. And then I'm going to just connect it directly to roughness. Now as you'll see, it doesn't really do anything because the color of the node is going to be the value of the roughness so when the color's black, roughness is zero. So if we were to turn this up, you'll see we can dial in our roughness or in other words, dial out our shininess or glossiness. Now I want to have this a little bit more random or a little bit less uniform. And so I'm actually going to use just one of these maps here to control this so if I double click…
