Course prerequisites

- [Instructor] To begin let's talk about the prerequisites for the course, or what you need to know. This course doesn't assume that the viewer has extensive experience in 3D visualization. A basic understanding of 3D is all that's required. If you're already creating computer-aided designs, then you've probably got that part covered. We do assume that you have some fluency in the 2D domain, as well, and that you've worked with image manipulation in a program such as Photoshop. We can't go deep into every topic, so if any concept or term is unfamiliar, make a note of it for further study. Our library has courses in beginning 3D concepts that should answer your questions. This is a course about universal techniques, not a training course in any particular software. I won't be demonstrating workflows in any specific application, but I'll illustrate concepts and techniques with more generalized illustrations. Once you've absorbed the ideas and methods in this course, please search our library for training courses in your specific software package.
