Creating an Arnold Quad Light

- [Instructor] The Arnold area light comes in several different shapes, including a quadrilateral, or rectangle, and that's what we want to use in cases such as this artificial lighting fixture here. We'll use a quad light to illuminate the scene from that lighting fixture. There are other ways to do it, we could actually use a mesh light, and illuminate the scene with the geometry of the light fixture itself. However, we'll have more control, and get better quality results in shorter render times if we use an area light, and simply position it so that it's almost exactly on top of that fixture. Let's create an Arnold quad light, go to the create panel, to "lights", from the pull down list, choose "Arnold" click "Arnold light", and set the general properties before creating the light, make sure the shape type is set to quad, let's keep "targeted" turned off, so we don't have a look-at point, let's set the target…
