Creating a boom rig

- [Instructor] In cinema, camera rigs can get complex and one of the more common rigs is the boom and this basically has an arm along which the camera moves. Now we can simulate this simply by using a couple of point helpers. Now these point helpers essentially mimic the pivot points on the boom rig. So, I've gone ahead and created two point helpers this one is point o1 and point o2 and I position them so that they're at a specific distance and that would be the distance of the arm. So, all I need to do is do some hierarchical linking and then position them. So, first thing I'm going to do is select point o2 which is the one closest to the camera and I'm going to do a select and link and link it to point o1 and then, select point o1 and move it towards the camera. Now if I move it a little bit too far in front of the camera you're going to see it so I'm going to position it just behind that camera and then we're going to…
