Creating a default template scene

- [Instructor] In the previous movie, we changed some key preferences and adjusted our user interface. Now let's set up the conditions for a new scene, including the units of measurement and the default renderer. First, I want a solid gray background in all of the viewports, and strangely that's not a user preference. That is stored in each scene. The first thing I'm going to set up in my new default scene is the viewport background. Go to the Views menu, and choose Viewport Configuration. In the Background tab, set it to Use Customize User Interface Solid Color, and click Apply to All Views and OK. And this'll be stored in our new default scene. Next, let's choose our units of measurement. Once again, in the Customize menu, go to Units Setup. In the Units Setup dialog, change the display unit scale over to Metric.
