Creating doors
Now that we've got holes for our doors, we can create some door primitives. And those are found in the create panel under geometry. And from the pulldown list, we have doors. And there are three types: pivot, sliding, and bifold. These are just standard pivot. So I'll click on pivot. And I've got 3D snaps enabled. I want to get in close here in the perspective view and drag around to make sure that I'm actually snapping to the grid points even though they're not visible. And then click and hold the mouse down and drag over to the right here. And what we are doing is we are setting the width of the door and then release the mouse. Drag forward or back and we are setting the depth of the door. Click again and then drag upward to set the height and you notice that we're not snapping any longer because we're in a perspective view and we're not able to snap in the z dimension. But that's okay because we're going to set the height by a numerical value. So just click again to finish that…
