Creating doors

- [Instructor] Now that we've got holes for our doors, we can create some door primitive objects. To make sure that our door is aligned properly, we want to be snapping to the grid. I've got 3D Snaps enabled. Let's also go into the grid and snap settings by right clicking on any of the magnet icons, and in the snaps tab, we just want to make sure that we're only snapping to grid points. In the home grid tab, let's extend our perspective view grid extent out to 1000 centimeters. And close the grid and snap settings. And now the grid extends out in to the area in which we want to draw our door. We'll get in close there with control, alt, and middle mouse button, until we can see individual centimeters on grid lines. It's very important that when we create the door, it's precisely aligned to the grid. Otherwise, we will have headaches later.
