- [Instructor] Continuing from the previous movie, we're going to extrude some more polygons near the base of this column. We need some edges to do that, so let's quick slice some edges near the base here. I'm zoomed in very tight in the left of you, so I can see individual centimeter grid lines. We want to enable snapping to the grid, snaps toggle this off, so let's turn it on. You might want to right click, and just make sure you're snapping to grid points. Grab the Quick Slice tool from the modeling ribbon, and slice through to create a new edge loop one centimeter above the base, then another one two centimeters above that, and a third one, one centimeter above that. We've just quick sliced in three new edge loops, we can see that in the Perspective View here. All right, exit out of Quick Slice, and we want to extrude these new polygons.
