Duplicating object instances with Array

- [Teacher] The Array tool let's us easily make duplicates of objects in a spacial pattern, and that comes in handy when we need a regular distribution of objects in the scene, such as this pergola, which is a shade structure for vines. I've worked on this scene already and I know the values that I want. So I'm just going to plug those into the Array tool. We'll start with this column. Select Pergola Column 001 and go to the Tools menu and choose Array. And immediately turn on the Preview button, and that will show us a preview in all the view ports, after the Array transformations have been made. We have Array dimensions here. We can make Arrays in one, two or three dimensions, and the default is 1D, and we've got a default of 10 objects. But those 10 objects are currently all sitting on top of one another because these incremental transforms are all at zero. So, let's experiment with this. We'll go up here to…
