- [Instructor] Another map that has been in V-Ray for quite some time now is the edges text node. A tool that was originally designed I believe to solve a very specific rendering problem, namely that of helping make a rendered object look more like it's wireframe mesh as seen in a 3d applications viewport. Indeed with edged faces turned on in our view board, we can clearly see the wire frame mesh that forms the construction body of our scene objects. Essentially showing the way in which they have been built, even when an object isn't selected in the scene. When we take a render though, all of that internal detail is gone, which if we are trying to produce something like a technical or construction render could be quite disappointing. Enter the V-Ray edges text map, which we can grab if we open up the material editor, and then jump into the browser panel. Or when you do, once we have one of those on the work area, is plugged…
