- [Instructor] When framing a shot, setting up its composition, we'll need to pay special attention to the viewport cropping. Because the viewport has a dynamic aspect ratio and the rendering has a fixed aspect ratio, we can get into trouble and have some unexpected outcomes when we actually render the image. It might not match what we see in our viewport. Aspect ratio, of course, is the proportion of the image width divided by its height. The aspect ratio of the viewport can be adjusted simply by moving the interface. So for example, I can widen the command panel here. Click and drag on the border between the command panel and the viewports, and drag that over a couple of times until the building here just touches the top of the frame in that physical camera viewport. Having changed the aspect ratio, now it's got more of a square aspect. Looks like something about four to three, 1.333. Now let's do a test rendering.…
