- [Instructor] A map may also be used instead of an image to create the reflections required to correctly show how light interacts with the materials and the surfaces of the product seen in your renders. These maps can be used in specific materials or as a global images in your entire scene. Let's go back to rendering environment and we've got in there, as we know before, an environment map. We're going to change that so go ahead and click on that, and we're going to change this to one of the legacy maps called a gradient ramp. That's right down here, so go ahead and either double click on that or select it and click okay. And then let's open up the material editor and drag that map into an available slot as an instance. And we're going to go ahead and change this and we're going to call it a gradient map environment. And again, it's selected as a spherical environment, that's what we want. Now we're going to use the ramp here to actually create something that looks like a sky. So, on…
