- [Instructor] The standard material in Arnold is called the standard surface. Now in the beginning of introduction of Arnold, we discussed that we need to convert some of the standard 3Ds to the max materials, cameras, and lights into something that Arnold would accept. And we used scene converter to see all those rules and the conversion process. Now, here I have the standard surface inside my material editor. And if I click on the standard surface, I want to show you that Arnold comes with lots of materials under different category, such as under the surface, you can find the car paint, the standard hair, and the standard surface, which is the Arnold standard material which we have here. Now I have already gone ahead and created a couple of these materials, which we are going to see really quickly. But this is how a standard surface in Arnold looks like.
