Export to Unreal using Datasmith
- [Instructor] It is time that we start importing our assets in the Unreal engine, populate our scene for real-time visualization. But before that, I would like to clarify a few things that you must know while working in realtime renders, like Unity 3D or Unreal engine. Inside Unreal engine, this portion is my content browser where I bring in my content, like three models and textures by right-clicking and choosing this import option. Navigating to the folder where I have my models and textures, selecting them, and pressing open, or I can hit the import button over here and choosing the models and textures and hitting the open button. So when all my models and textures are here, using the textures, I will create materials. And then, I will drag and drop my models in scene to populate my whole environment. And then assign those newly created materials inside Unreal engine on top of my models to create a complete scene. Now while I'm explaining this, it seems very tedious and time…
