- [Instructor] One of the nice visualization options that can be found in 3ds Max are the parametric door, window and stair tools that can be used to quickly and easily create and then animate set objects. For instance, in our scene here, we have a pivot door setup that if I just hit play, has a 200 frame animation that shows it both opening and then closing again. The obvious problem, though, is that our separately modeled handle doesn't travel with it. This is the kind of problem that we will probably run into time and time again whilst animating in Max, and for different reasons, of course, according to the nature of our scene. Now we may think that we could solve this by simply linking the handle to the door and then have them animate together. Well, to try that, let's select the handle's base object, which itself is already the parent of the whole handle assembly, and then link that to the door.
