Image sampling
- [Instructor] When working with a ray trace render engine such as Vray, having at least a basic understanding of the technology in use. Can certainly benefit the image creation work that we do. And so, let's have a look in this video of the basics of the image sampling of ray tracing process. So in order to create a final render from a 3D environment, a render engine, such as Vray, needs to collect a wide array of relevant information. Such as the shape of geometric objects in the scene, the surface properties of any materials that have been applied to that geometry, the lighting and shadow information being generated. And we could go on. But suffice it to say that our render engine needs to be able to probe our 3D scene in order to know what ought to be drawn in each of the pixels that will ultimately make up our final rendered image.
