Import Substance materials to 3ds Max

- [Instructor] Next we're going to actually take a substance material and turn it into a V-ray material that we can use in 3ds Max. Now I'm going to create a material for this driveway and walkway in the scene. And so we want a concrete material. Now we can do this by starting off in the material editor. Now I'm going to make sure I'm in slate material editor mode. And then we need to start off with a substance node. So I'm going to type in the word substance into the search box under the material map browser. And I get two results. One is substance, the other is substance two. Now substance two is the one we need to use. Substance is kind of an archival version, so it's for older files. So let's go ahead and select substance two and double click on that. And that loads a substance two node into our viewer. If I select this and double click on it, you'll see I get a very simple menu. And that is load substance. So we want to load a substance file.
