- [Instructor] One of the great things about Revit is that so many manufacturers offer their products as Revit families. We can easily load in furniture, fixtures, equipment, flooring, all kinds of things. From sprinkler heads to put on the ceiling down to classic office furniture to put in our entry or a lobby here. I'm going to load in a family and look at how things come in and much, well, roundness they have and what do they need. This is particularly important because we want to make sure that things that are intended to be round and possibly soft actually look round and soft. I'll drop down under Component and choose Place a Component. And then I'll load in a family. Right now it looks like it's defaulting to a parking space which is not what I want to land in the inside of my building. I'll click Load family.
