Lenses and perspective control

- [Instructor] When we work with cameras in 3ds Max, we're placing virtual cameras. And these have lenses just like any camera would have in the real world. Now the lens that you choose for your camera will determine a lot of things, including how much stuff is in the scene, as well as your angle of view and perspective. Now here I have a simple establishing shot, and I have a camera called Camera_Main. Now if I want to, I can select that camera and hop over to the Modify panel. And you'll see under the Physical Camera rollout, we have something called Focal Length. Now this is essentially the zoom control on the camera. If we bring this number down, the camera gets wider and more stuff is in the scene. If we zoom in, in other words, make this lens longer, you'll see that we're basically pushing into that scene.
