- [Instructor] For visualization professionals who sometimes find themselves working more on the technical as opposed to artistic side of a project, Chaos Group have added lighting analysis tools to V-Ray that can help us both measure and analyze light levels in a scene, including the ability to create false color heat maps and data overlays in order to show luminance or illuminance data values. To perform its lighting analysis, V-Ray actually uses two separate components. These being the V-Ray light meter helper object and the V-Ray lighting analysis render element. Now, of course, the light meter helper has been in V-Ray since version two, but has been updated for better precision in recent years. Whereas the lighting analysis was new to V-Ray Next.
