- [Josh] This CAD model does not just include the outer chassis or enclosure, but also all the electronics inside. And we can see that if we press f3 to switch to wireframe view. And because all of these components are included in the model, it is rather heavy. The 3Ds max scene files we've been working with have been up to 100 megabytes in size. I want to save some disk space as I create more versions of the scene, and to do that I'll use external referencing or x refs. And in order to avoid problems with x refs, we need to really make sure that our scene is set up properly with its display layers before we use it as an external reference. Let's set up our display layers. I'll switch back to the shaded view with f3 and open up the layer Explorer. I've already renamed some of the objects if we go around and select these propeller caps here we'd see that I've renamed those and some other objects such as these little…
