Manipulating cameras properly

- [Instructor] Understanding basic camera terminology will help you with 3ds Max because it does use the same terminology when working with cameras. Now, all of this will happen in the bottom right-hand corner of your interface. If I have a perspective or an orthographic view selected these controls will be basically what we're familiar with. We have pan, orbit, zoom, and so on. Now, as soon as we select a camera viewport, however, these change. So notice how these icons are different here than they are when I've selected an orthographic viewport. So let's go ahead and make sure we have a camera viewport selected, in this case CAM_MAIN01. And you'll see that all of this terminology is the same. We have a dolly control, which allows us to push the camera forward and back. We have a roll, which allows you to roll it along its axis of view. We also have a truck, which again allows you to move it left and right. But this also…
