Merging scenes

- [Voiceover] Now let's take a look at layout and camera. In the context of 3D, layout simply means bringing all your assets together, and then positioning them where they need to be. And camera of course is setting up a viewpoint for our rendering. I've got a loft apartment here that I've constructed, and you'll see that it has two stories. We're really only gonna focus on the lower floor here. And that's where we'll put all our furniture and equipment. The upper floor here is really only a dummy or stand in, the reason it's there is for lighting purposes. Later on I'm going to add a sun and sky, and I wanna make it so that the light coming through the hole in the ceiling here where the staircase is gonna be, I want that light to be accurate. And to do that I needed to create an upper story, even though there's not gonna be anything in there. We're going to bring another scene into this current scene.
