Modifying asset geometry

- [Instructor] There will be times that you'll need to modify your asset geometry in order to create the proper imagery for your projects. Usually, this will be a client request for some changes, that kind of thing, and they don't have time to go back into the CAD model and actually change the object, so that'll be on you. Most of the time, the tools in Max will be sufficient for this, but there may be times you'll need to use a program, such ZBrush or ZBrushCore to complete your work. So when we converted the CAD models, the STEP files, from their native CAD format, we created an editable mesh. If you prefer to use a editable poly, you can right click and covert that to an editable poly, and you'll have exactly the same fidelity as you would on a mesh, but you can do more things with an editable poly than you can with an editable mesh. You do have access to the sub-objects, so you can select the end and make a smaller end, you can add free form deformations, you can do whatever you…
