Modifying room-spanning objects
- [Instructor] Often in constructing a model, we want to add small details into a larger, room-spanning object. In this case, I'm going to put some recessed lighting into my ceiling over my lobby. The original building had surface mount cans. These are quite tall, almost 16 or 18 inches, very big. I'm going to put in some more typical recessed cans as we'll see these often in a structure. Then later, I'll add in some other surface mount fixtures. I'll go into my Ceiling Plan and make sure I've got my family for recessed can lights loaded. I've zoomed in on that lobby, and under Component, I'll choose Place a Component. I'll click Load Family, and I'm going to bring in from the default US Imperial families under Lighting, Architectural, Internal, and there's my Downlight - Recessed Can. You could also choose a Downlight - Round - LED or something similar if you'd like. I'll choose a very typical Recessed Can, and know that we can always change this if we need.
