- [Instructor] Having given ourselves a quick primer on the Academy Coloring Encoding System or ACES for short, what we will naturally want to move on to in this exercise is an overview of just how we work with the ACEScg color space inside V-Ray 5. Well, when wanting to use ACES on a V-Ray rendering project, the very first thing that we will need to do is open up the render setup dialog, and then from inside the settings tab and column management rollouts, switch the rendering color space from SRGB over to ACCG. This means that whenever we hit the rendering button from this point forward, V-Ray will be using ACCG for all of its color calculations. Now, unfortunately, that isn't all there is to working with ACES in V-Ray because just as with the default linearized SRGB workflow in Max, and V-Ray, we also need to know how to handle or set up any incoming texture files.
