Notes on the 3ds Max assets

- [Instructor] Now, the 3ds Max file we'll be using is similar to this. Now, when you first load the file, you may get an error about image paths. If you want to, you can correct that by repathing that, so we go into File, Reference, Asset Tracking. Now, all of mine are linked up, but if this status says that these aren't found, you can just go ahead and select one or multiples of this, right-click, and go set path. And so what you want to do is set this path to your Max sceneassets images folder, so it will be here, and all of your images should show up like this, so in this case, I'm on desktop, exercise files, Max, sceneassets, images. And so once those are pathed, you should get a status of OK, and all of your images and materials should come across. Now, there's one more thing about this file, in that it has a lot of trees. And this may slow down some system, so if you're having problems with performance, all you have to do is go into the Layer Explorer, scroll down to trees, and you can turn them off. And that will go ahead and get rid of that excess geometry, and you should be able to navigate and render a little bit more easily. Now, I'm working on a fairly fast system, so I can leave those on, so it really just depends on how fast your system is as to whether or not you want to turn on those trees or not.
