- [Instructor] Let's look at a new way of how we can add an opening here at the window and then we can use that for the balcony and other two openings down there. So for that I will select this plank area, which if I take out you should see that we added that earlier, and also this one. I will hold control and click this one and then Alt + Q to solo this out and I'm going to select this part. Hold Shift and drag that outward and make sure that's copy and leave that here. For the other part, I will select and take that invert and just making sure that it is crossing both ways outside this surface of the plank. I will now select this, right click and convert it to editable poly since it had shell modifier over it. Now I'm just checking that it's completely through this surface. So once that is done, I will go to the create panel and choose the drop down list and look for the compound objects and I'm going to use ProCutter.
