- One of the things that we will definitely want to know how to do when working with render elements in V-Ray is eventually save them to a storage device in order to then work with them in our post production application of choice. Indeed, the approach to outputting render elements from inside V-Ray and max is something that we can handling quite a number of ways, with our final choice probably depending as much on personal preference as it does on pipeline and workflow requirements. We have already mentioned for instance that with our V-Ray Frame Buffer turned off we could use a Mac-centric approach to saving out render elements that will work equally well for both still or animated output. To show how this would work let's quickly walk through the steps involved. So first of all then let's open up the render setup dialog inside max and then from the V-Ray tab and Frame Buffer roll-outs on check the enable option.…
