Overview of V-Ray lighting tools
- [Instructor] One of the big strengths of the V-Ray render engine is the fact that it provides a number of light types or light objects that can all be used to mimic pretty much any real world light source or lighting setup that we care to create. Adding these two as seen in 3ds Max is a pretty straightforward process that can actually be handled in a number of ways. So for instance, from the create tab in the Command panel, we could come to the light section, choose V-Ray from the dropdown, and then just select the light type that we want to work with from here. We could also come to the create menu and then from the lights and V-Ray flyouts, again choose the light type that we want to work with. These options only showing up here of course, if we have V-Ray enabled as the renderer of choice in the scene. Now, in this particular instance we do seem to have a few more choices available in our menu than was the case…
