Perspective correction
- [Narrator] Whenever producing visualization shots be they architectural or product based, or perhaps when creating environment and all landscape renders, we may sometimes be asked to mimic the functionality of the perspective control or tilt shift lenses employed by visualization photographers. These being lenses that can be moved parallel to a camera sensor. The basic idea being that they give the photographer the ability to control the appearance of perspective in an image. Architectural photographers for instance, oftentimes use them to avoid convergence of vertical lines in tall buildings, as they point the camera up at them. The effect that makes the buildings look as if they are leaning inwards. Although of course, tilt shift functionality can be used to straighten vertical lines in any perspective based shot, not just an architectural piece.
