Rendering an image sequence

- [Instructor] If you're rendering an animation, you'll almost always want to save out a sequence of individually numbered still images instead of a monolithic movie file. There are many reasons for this. For example, if you want to use a render farm, a network of rendering computers. Each computer, or render node, can work on a different frame at the same time. Even if you're just rendering on one machine, you still want to save out an image sequence in case there's any interruption. If the render stops for some reason, then the current file will probably be corrupted. But if the current file is a single frame, then you can easily pick up where you left off. Let's configure 3ds Max for image sequence rendering. Go into the render setup dialog, and at the top, we want to choose the view to render. It's currently set to Quad 4-PhysCamera002.
