- [Narrator] Although the material editor has preview images, to give you an idea of what your material looks like, practically speaking you'll need to render in the view port to get a true sense of what that is actually doing. And so let's look at how to render in the view port. Because of the particular requirements of my screen layout here, and screen capture, I'm going to use this lower left view port in order to render my materials, and I want that to be a perspective view. So I'll switch that over to a perspective view by clicking on the view port name, which is left, and choose perspective. And I can also orbit around with alt and middle mouse. And I want to view this in a shaded mode, and I can do that with a keyboard shortcut which is F3, and that simply changes this right most menu to switch wire frame override off.
