- [Instructor] Having seen how the overall diffuse and subsurface color components work together in the fast SSS2 material. Let's take a look next at what some of the other controls bring to the table. By first of all, essentially resetting the subsurface scattering material that we have in the work area by right clicking on it and using the change map feature. In fact, the next thing that we want to take a look at here are the specular controls, given that the strong backlight that we're using is clearly accentuating the reflective properties of the material. In the specular rollout then, let's pull the specular amount down to about 0.5 and render again. Whilst we do still have a clear specular hit showing up we have toned the pinging of the reflections down by quite a bit. The rest of the controls in the specular layer here will of course be very familiar to us as they are pretty much the same as the reflection…
