Sample rate

is to give us a visual guide as to how much work is being done by V-Ray's image sampling engines on the various parts of our scene, whilst rendering is in progress. Which it does by essentially assigning a color value to each of the rendered pixels. The colors being used being dependent on how many primary samples are having to be utilized by V-Ray in order to render that particular pixel. As seeing is believing in this case, let's open up the render setup dialog, and then add a Sample Rate element to our list. In this instance, we have just the VFP and deep options available to us, which for this particular scene and something that we need to worry about. To see the Sample Rate element in action, let's take a render, and then take a peak at what we have.
